Richard Wawerski

Richard James Wawerski, 23, of Ottawa, IL, died, Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare Center. Funeral Services will be at 6:00 PM Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Douglas Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until the start of services Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Richard was born July 4, 1986, in Ottawa, to Richard and Karen (Battistelli) Wawerski. He attended Ottawa High School and obtained his GED. He worked for Pretium Packaging Company in Peru. He is survived by his mother, Karen Wawerski of Ottawa; his father, Richard Wawerski of Marseilles; one brother, Daniel of Ottawa; one sister, Sarah of Ottawa; his maternal grandmother, Agnes Battistelli; paternal grandparents, James and Della Wawerski of Ottawa; and his dog, Beavis. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Frank Battistelli. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sean Engel, Matt Oda, Ryan Thompson, Mike Miller, Andrew, Casey and Adam Battistelli, Peter and Matt Cappellini . Memorials may be directed to the family.
