Richard Klemp, 76, of Seneca passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Pleasant View. Visitation will be 2:00 - 5:00 pm Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca. His funeral service and burial will be private at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Elwood on Monday, July 21, 2014. Richard was born June 20, 1938 in Oak Park, Illinois to Richard and Emma (Wunnecke) Klemp. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1961 - 1963. He married Karen Wagnon November 3, 1973 in Waukegan, Illinois. He retired in 1994 from Exelon after 40 years of service. He volunteered at the Seneca Food Pantry and was the past chairman of the Ottawa United Way. He was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; one daughter, Melissa Klemp of Seneca; one brother, Eugene (Mary) Klemp of Chesapeake, VA; one sister, Lois (Esprit) Armano of Arizona City, AZ; his mother in law, Eris Wagnon of Rogersville, TN; one sister-in law, Joanne Klemp of Auburn, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
