Richard L Hopkins

Richard L. Hopkins Sr, 75, of Streator Il, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at home with family by his side.

Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory were entrusted with cremation rites. As were his wishes, there will be no services.

Rick was born January 20, 1947 in Streator to John and Joyce (Pond) Hopkins. Rick married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Sue "Trish" Salat on July 30, 1966 and they had three children- Richard Jr (David Marshall), Jennifer Joy, and Nancy Beth. Rick worked as a transportation liaison for special needs children.

He is survived by his children Richard Jr., and Nancy Beth; his brothers, Bill (Linda) Perry and Mike (Terri) Hopkins; his grandchildren, Jackson, Kathryn (Carly) Hopkins, Dylan, Dustin (Kaylee) and Hannah Holland; brother and sister in-laws, Kathy and Tim Kakara; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 55 years on May 5th 2021; his daughter Jennifer, on May 16,2015; his grandson, David; two brothers and a sister.
