Richard Lee Gould, 55, of Ottawa, IL passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at his home.

Following his wishes, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of his life will be held at the Ottawa VFW on Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 12:00 pm noon until 3:00 pm. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Richie was born February 28, 1966, in Ottawa, to Charles F. Gould Sr and Marilyn (Woods) Gould. He was an avid musician, he fell in love with music at a young age, from drums, guitar, keyboard, and bass. He was in his first band, Backtrax, at 19 years old. He played in many bands, but his favorite was The Coachmen, which consisted of his family members. He enjoyed playing golf, especially at family reunions, and loved spending time on the river. He was a die-hard Bears and Cubs Fan. His most Cherished memory is spending time with his grankids, who were his world.

He is survived by one daughter, Danielle (Mike) Rausch of Ottawa; six grandchildrem, Marcus, Brooklyn, Keylin, Kaylee, Michael, and Makenzee; the love of his life Olivia (Patti) Rubio Gould; five step children, Shannon, Becky, Bob, Hilary, and Michael; fifteen step-grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Noah, Miah, Jasmin, Jason, Mason, Wil, Isabella, Chloe, Maddox, Emma, Scarlett, Bowie, and Knox; one brother, Chuck (Cindy) Gould He; one sister, Kari (Kevin) Gwin; many nieces and nephews; as well as his companion, Ronnie, the cat.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Ronnie Gould; One sister, Terri Miskell; his maternal grandparents; and his paternal grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family or to the PADs shelter.
