Richard Carroll

Richard "Rick" Carroll, 63, of Marseilles, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023.

Following Rick's wishes, no services will be held. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.

Rick was born December 27, 1959, in Ottawa, IL to the late Robert and Betty (Miller) Carroll.

Rick retired as a construction worker from the Laborer's Local 393 in Marseilles. His friends and coworkers commonly knew him as "Rickshaw" or "Shaw". When he wasn't working, he had a passion for world traveling. He was also a coin and watch collector, a skilled woodworker, and an avid reader.

Family and friends were extremely important to Rick. He was a big guy with a big heart and will be missed by anyone who had the opportunity to know him.

He is survived by sister, Pam (John) Price and his nephews, Brian (Anne) Price and Eric (Erin) Price. He was preceded in death by his parents.
