Richard Buckardt

Richard Buckardt, 27, of Ottawa passed away Wednesday, April 13 at his home in Ottawa. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior to services from 12:00 - 2:00 Saturday, April 16 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Memorial Park. Richard was born May 20, 1983 in Ottawa, Illinois to Melanie Buckardt. He worked in the maintenance for Econo Lodge in Ottawa. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Son's of the American Legion. He is survived by his mother, Melanie of Ottawa; grandfather, Russell Buckardt of Daytona Beach, FL; and one sister, Julie Haws of Ottawa. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Buckardt; great grandparents, Elmer and Marie Buckardt, and Tom and Edith Hughes. Pallbearers will be Dana Vicich, John Bryant, Andrew Alsene, Cody Purcell, and Scott Hughes. Memorials may be directed to the family.
