Reva C. Leslie

Reva C. Leslie, 90, of Ottawa, IL, died, Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2009 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Jack Robinson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 pm, Thursday, October 22 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Reva Leslie was born Sunday, January 12, 1919, in Centralia IL., to Wesley and Effie Jane (Smith) Kirkland. She married Philip Leslie December 26, 1936 in Benton, IL. He died January 26, 1976. She had worked at Ryburn King Memorial Hospital in Ottawa and St. Joseph Health Resort in Wedron. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Sue Robinson of Earlville, and Linda (Dale) Greenwood of Hennepin, IL; four sons, Bill (Jeanette) and Charles (Joann) both of Ottawa, Jerry (Linda) of Earlville, IL, Philip (Vicki) of Wisconsin; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, eighteen great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Moore of DuQuoin, IL, and Lucille Hughes of Sterling, IL. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Dianna Lou in infancy; one brother Wesley Paul Kirkland; and one sister, Mary Belle Moore. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Memorials may be directed Vitas Hospice in Ottawa.
