Renae Crum

Renae L. Crum, 51, of Ottawa passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation rites.

A Celebration of Renae's life will be held at a later date.

Renae was born July 19, 1964 in Ottawa, to William and Pat (Williams) Crum. She worked at OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital for over 20 years as a dedicated and exceptional nurse. Following nursing, she cared one on one for special needs students at Ottawa Township schools. Renae was a supportive member for Relay for Life. She enjoyed crafting, loved spending time with her family and friends, and was a caring and compassionate woman.

She is survived by her mother, Pat Williams, of Ottawa; her father, Bill (Ellen) Crum, of Marseilles; her daughter, Leslie Crum; a grand daughter, Emma; two brothers, Jeff and Arnie (Lori) Crum; one step-sister, Carol Ann (Casey) Reh; two aunts, Kathy (Mike) Lamie, and Sharon (Earl) Jennings; three uncles, David Williams, and Lee (Bobbi) and Tom (Pat) Crum; two nephews, Ryan and Eric Crum; her loving kitty, O'Malley; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; her brother, William, in infancy; her aunt, Lois Williams; and her uncle, Don Williams.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
