Raymond G. Timmons

Raymond "Buzz" Timmons, 75, of Seneca, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Morris Hospital. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at Stavanger Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Philip Peterson, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca. Buzz was born September 23, 1936, in Seneca, Illinois to Melvin and Mary (Hochstetler) Timmons and graduated from Seneca High School in 1954. He married Marsha Myre on December 7, 1957 at Bethel Lutheran Church, Ottawa, Illinois, and farmed for 53 years in the Stavanger area. Ray is survived by his wife, Marsha; one son, Rick (Jody) Timmons of Seneca; two daughters, Michele Timmons of Seneca and Patty Dirker of Bloomington; six grandchildren, Abby (Jesse) Fugitt, David Timmons, John Claggett, Jerry Claggett, Rebecca Schroeder, and Delaney Dirker; three great grandchildren, Adalynn and Aubry Fugitt, and Sierra Berg; two sisters, Barb (Merlyn) Higgins and Diane (Richard) Partridge, both of Seneca; two brothers, Eugene (Sandra) Timmons of Seneca and Ronald Timmons of Marseilles; his mother-in-law, Melva Myre; brother-in-law, Bill Myre; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Karyn Timmons; one brother, Alvin Timmons; two sisters, Mabel Olsen and Edith Cade; and his father-in-law, Marshall Myre.
