Raymond A. Johnson

Raymond A. Johnson, 87, of Ottawa, IL passed away, Friday, September 10, 2010 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 13, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Dustin L. Anderson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services, Monday, at Ottawa Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Raymond was born June 18, 1923 in Ottawa, IL to Diedrick and Nettie (Happley) Johnson. He married Maxine Hunt March 1, 1947 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa. He retired from G.E. Plastics after many years of service. He is survived by two daughters, Judith (Don) Robb of Mendota, IL, and Janice (Ralph) Bute of Ottawa; four grandchildren, Ron (Stacy) Robb, Jeanette (Dennis) Rogers, Troy (Kim) Bute, and Matthew Robb; six great grandchildren, Brandon Cade, Jackie and Alex Rogers, Emily and Logan Bute, and Sierra Rob; one brother, George Johnson of Wilmington, IL; and four sisters, Ruth (Jerry) Kelly of Peoria, IL, Mary (Ken) Klausing of Wilmington, IL, Edna Shriadelley of Montgomery, IL, and Helen Harmon of Minonk, IL. Raymond is preceded in death by one sister, Martha Littlefair; a son, Dennis Lee Johnson; two brothers, John and Herman Johnson; and a granddaughter, Janice Hickey, in infancy. Memorials may be directed to the Alzhiemer's Wing at LaSalle County Nursing Home or Donor's Choice.
