DILLON, Mont. – Ralph F. Murry, PhD., 56, of Dillon, Mont., died Wednesday, September 26, due to injuries received from an auto accident in Montana. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Wednesday at St. Columba Church in Ottawa with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Ottawa. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ottawa Funeral Home Mr. Murry was born February 5, 1951 in Ottawa to James E. Jr. and Martha (Dammann) Murry. He served in the Marine Corps and served a postdoctoral fellowship at the Moran Eye Center, Department of Ophthalmology, University of Utah. He worked on brain trauma research. He graduated from Marquette High School, summa cum laude from Northern Illinois University and received a master's degree and PhD in neuroscience from Loyola University. He was a former member of St. Columba Church. He is survived by a sister, Margaret (Randy) Carmean of Ottawa; and two brothers, James E. (Terry) III of Pendleton, Oregon, and Kevin P. Murry of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be directed to St. Columba Masses
