Ralph Edward Brown

Ralph Edward Brown,75, of Leland, IL., passed away Sunday July 11, 2021 at Ottawa Pavilion. No visitation will be held as per his wishes. He will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL on August 27, 2021 at 10:00am. A celebration of life will follow, place and time pending. Ralph is survived by his daughter Tracy Bloom, granddaughter Adrianna Hathaway, great-granddaughter Luna Hathaway, and 2 grandsons Skyler Bloom and Brendon Bloom. He is also survived by 3 sisters Nancy Graffis, Elizabeth Carlson and Diane Wiley, and 5 brothers Robert Brown, Lawrence Brown, Leonard Brown, Richard Brown and Donald Brown. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Robert Brown and Virginia (Duchala), and his wives Kathleen (Hogan) Brown and Christina (Ott) Brown. Ralph served in the US Navy, then worked as as a computer engineer, a self-employed electrician, management at Friendship Village, a communications installer, and an over-the-road truck driver. He retired from everything except his sense of humor, which brought a smile to many people when they needed it most. He enjoyed gardening, baking, woodworking and restoring his antique car. After retirement, he enjoyed the comforts of home and hanging out with his best friend Izzy ( his dog).
