Phyllis Joan Williams

Phyllis Joan Williams passed away peacefully on September 6th, 2024 in Ottawa Illinois at the age of 78. She was born to John & Rita (Walsh) Pillion on April 30th, 1946 in Ottawa Illinois. Phyllis married her best friend Bob Williams in Ottawa at the St. Patrick’s Church on December 11th, 1965. During her life, Phyllis found enjoyment in bowling with friends, sewing, music, boating, and attending Bible studies. Being a true extrovert, what she really loved most in life, was just being with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Terri (Larry) Makenas and Mike (Nicole) Williams; grandchildren, Jessica & Alec Makenas and Sloane & Sean Williams; her siblings, Ann Schmoeger, Rosemary (John) McDonnell, Ron (Lynn) Pillion, Diane Stoudt, Deb (Mike) Jarigese & Denise Jessen.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bob Williams, her sister Julie Pillion and by in-laws Roger Schmoeger, Jerry Klein, and John Stoudt.

A visitation will be held at Ottawa Funeral Home on September 14th from 10-12PM. The funeral ceremony will follow at 12PM at the funeral home with Pastor Stevenson officiating. The burial will immediately follow at St. Columba Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jessica & Alec Makenas, Sloane & Sean Williams, Jeff Schmoeger, and Tom Waldron.
