Philena Herzog

Mrs. Philena Jean Herzog "Phy" (nee Meadows, LeBeau) passed away on August 20, 2019 in Loma Linda, California at the age of 94.

Funeral service will be 10:00 Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Her visitation will be 9:00 - 10:00, one hour prior to services, at Ottawa Funeral Home. She will be buried in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery.

Phy was born on October 21, 1924 in Maysville, MO. She graduated from Maysville High School, Maysville, MO. class of 1942. She moved to Illinois to work at the shipyards in Seneca. She married Carl LeBeau (died 1955) in Ottawa, January 27, 1945. She married Augie Herzog (died 2002) in Ottawa, May 6, 1978. Member of Lady’s of the Moose and VFW Aux. Past member of St. Mary’s Church. She retired from Borg Warner.

Phy is survived by her son, Carl (Cindy) LeBeau (of Warrenville, IL,); daughter, Jacqueline (Randy) Booker of Highland, CA,; numerous grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Emma Donahue of Ottawa.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, August (Augie) Herzog formerly of Ottawa, and Carl LeBeau of Ottawa; grandson, Jacob; sisters, Genevieve and Mildred; and brothers, George and Howard.
