Paula Mcvay

Paula L. McVay, 64, of Ottawa passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at her home.

A private family service will be held in Lancaster Missouri. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.

Paula was born November 2, 1951 in Lancaster, Missouri to Paul and Lois (McCullough) Pickett.

She was a 1969 graduate of Lancaster High School and graduated with honors from North East Missouri State University in 1973. Paula and Mark McVay were married that same year. She worked as the office manager for Dr. McVay's medical office for many years and in the transcription department of Community Hospital of Ottawa. She was a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpa sorority and the Junior Women's League of Ottawa.

She is survived by two sons, Patrick (Kate) McVay of Ottawa and Bryan (Wendy) McVay of Washington, IL; four grandchildren, Landyn and Mason of Ottawa, Liam and Matilda of Washington; two sisters, Jenny Pickett and Katy (Andy) Andrews; and three nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Paula was a loving mother, sister, grandma, and friend to many and will be missed greatly by her family.
