Paul R. Youngling

Paul R. Youngling, 85, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at his step-daughters home. Funeral Service for Paul will be 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Ottawa Funeral Home. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Rest at Oakwood Memorial Park with Military Services. Paul was born March 10, 1926 to Robert Lee and Leona (Campbell) Youngling. He married Mary Lou Stewart in June of 1945. She died August 30, 1975. He then married Bernadine McConaughhay on April 18, 1980 at the First Baptist Church in Ottawa. She died October 6, 1988. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked for the City of Ottawa until his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by two daughters, Paula Mason of Morris and Pam (LeRoy) Thomas of Marseilles; two step-daughters, Sherry Hougas and Barbara Wheeler, both of Ottawa; two step-sons, A.J. Frig and Rick Frig, both of Ottawa; three grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and fourteen step great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both of his wifes; his parents; two step-sons, Kenneth and Bob Wheeler; two sisters, Nadine Babcock and Aileen Reeser; and two brothers, Bill and Walt Youngling. Pallbearers will be Bill Hougas, Jeff Mason, Jacob Mason, Mike Thomas, Ken Carver, and Richard Sanchez. Memorials may be directed to the family.
