Paul Sipula

Paul D. Sipula, 57, of Ottawa died Saturday, June 30, 2018 peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his children. Prayer services will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Deacon Danny McShane officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Paul was born May 13, 1961 in Ottawa, Illinois to Stephen and Andrea (Eickness) Sipula. In 1981 Paul started his career with U.S. Silica. His hard work love and dedication to the plant was provided for 37 years. Where he was currently holding a position as a process operator. Paul enjoyed reading books, fishing, riding his motorcycle, playing cards and board games, listening to music, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with his beloved friends and family, especially his girls. He is survived by his daughters, Nicole (Tim) Darif, Aubrey (Ryan "Kurtis" Stevenson) Sipula, Paige Sipula; four grandchildren, Remi Linn, Taylor, Teagan and Tylee Darif; and four siblings, Rose (David) Claus, Christine (Bob Sampson) Sipula, David (Tamara) Sipula, Marie (Kevin) Grant. He is preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Dorothy Nickerson, Stephen Sipula and Edward Sipula Honorary pallbearers will be John Sanchez, John Zilm, Kevin McAlpine, Hal Prettyman, Drew Ferracuti, Tim Darif, and Raymond Linn.
