Paul "Moe" Peterson, 62, of Seneca passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Morris Hospital. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 9:00 am Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Pastor Kris Zierke officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Moe was born July 2, 1955 in Ashland, Wisconsin to Elliott and Esther (Reiten) Peterson. He worked at Alumax in Morris for 18 years and then he worked for Cat in Pontiac. He was a longtime member of the Seneca Jaycees. After relocating from Washburn, WI, Paul graduated from Seneca High School in 1975. He was a very active member of the Seneca Jaycees, holding several offices. In Paul's younger years, he enjoyed playing men's softball in Ransom, taking cruises with friends, and bowling in Morris. He was a huge sports fan, cheering on the Chicago White Sox, but his main love was the Green Bay Packers. Smart, kind, and funny are just a few words to describe what kind of man Moe was. He was also a lover of music which started a side job as a DJ. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Moe was a wonderful brother, brother-in-law, and devoted uncle to his three nieces. He never missed a single event in their lives. Paul "Moe" will be deeply missed. He is survived by his sister, Julie (Rick) Maierhofer; his step mother, Betty Peterson; one step-sister, Georgene Kirschbaum; one step brother-in-law, Curt Simons; three nieces, Jena (Michael) Sheedy, Jill (Chad) Caputo, and Janelle Maierhofer; step nieces and nephews, Todd (Pam) Coates, Toby (Amy) Coates, Stacy (Matt) Anderson, Scott (Anna) Simons; three great nieces and nephews, Aniston Caputo, Trent Caputo, and Elliott Sheedy; and his pride and joy, Molly. He is preceded in death by his parents; and one stepsister, Sharon Simons. Pallbearers will be Randy Petges, Les Patton, Mark Mavity, Michael Sheedy, Chad Caputo, and Andrew Chamberlain.
