Paul S. Geiger

Paul S. Geiger, 72, of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday,June 25, 2009, at the Ottawa Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. A Celebration of life will be from 4-7 pm Thursday, June 25 prior to services at the funeral home. A private burial service will be at St. Columba Cemetery. Ottawa Funeral Home oversaw the cremation. Paul was born August 11, 1936 in Ottawa, Il, to George and Margaret (Frain) Geiger. He was a retired laborer. He was also a member of the Marseilles Lions Club. He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Lewis and Paula Katrein both of Ottawa; two sons, Curt and Brian Geiger both of Ottawa; eight Grandchildren, Eric and Karla Katrein, Cory, Brandon (Collette) and Ashley Geiger, Brigette, Paige, and Taylor Lewis; one Great Grandchild, Kaden Geiger; three brothers, Ken Geiger, Jerry (Ellen) Geiger, and George "Dutch" (Lillian) Geiger all of Ottawa; two sisters, Sandy (Jim) Reinman, Dorothy (John "Tige") Stoudt, both of Ottawa, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother Bobby Geiger, a sister Nancy Anselme and a nephew Andrew Geiger. Memorials may be directed to the family.
