Patrick Aubry, 64, of Ottawa, IL, died Sunday November 20, 2011, at the Hines VA Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Military rites will follow the service. Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, on November 29, 2011. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at the Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4:00. Pat was born June 5, 1947, in Ottawa, to Vincent J. and Angela (McGinnis) Aubry. He served in the US Army in Vietnam where he received a Bronze Star. He was in the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment (Black Horse Symbol), 2nd Squadron, and Echo Troop. He graduated from Marquette High School, IVCC and attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale after his return from active duty in Vietnam, where he was a decorated war veteran. He retired from the Central Laborer Union in Marseilles, Illinois. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church. He is survived by one son, Jason (Jessica) Aubry of Stafford, Virginia; two sisters, Sharon (Larry) Perkins of Neponset, Illinois, and Joanne (James) Baker of Ottawa; four brothers, Raymond (Rosemarie) Aubry and Dennis Aubry both of Ottawa, Emmett (Sue) Aubry of Decatur, Illinois, and Charles (Pam) Aubry of Gibson City, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Jason, Ray, Dennis, Emmett, Charles, and Chris Aubry. Memorials may be directed to U.S.O. or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
