Patricia Steep

Patricia J. (Schomas) Steep, 73, of Ottawa passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Pleasant View Lutheran Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Church with Fr. Tony Fevlo officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 pm Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery.

Patricia was born August 2, 1943 in Ottawa, Illinois to Henry and Dorothy (Monroe) Schomas. On April 24, 1965 she married Charles Steep at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa.

Patricia was a fulltime mother, a loving wife and a devoted home maker. She was an avid reader, loved baking, cooking, and various types of crafts. Later in life, she worked as an admissions clerk for OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was a member of St. Francis Church and Shoreline Boat club.

She is survived by her loving husband, Charles; one daughter, Cheri (Joe) Rainwater; two sons, Tim (Cheryl) Steep and Brian Steep; and two grandchildren, Ava and Charlie Rainwater.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Janet Kiper, Luanne Jelm Eickholtz, Tim Steep, Martin Steep, Joe Rainwater, Brian Steep
