Patricia Marie Kaufmann

Patricia Marie (Danielson) Kaufmann, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, September 24th, at The Pavilion of Ottawa, surrounded by her daughters.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, September 28, at 10:30am at St. Columba Church. Burial will follow in Stavanger Cemetery.

Patricia was born on September 7, 1949, in Morris, IL, to Roger and Evelyn (Hill) Danielson. She attended Milton Pope Grade School and was a graduate and valedictorian of Seneca High School. Pat attended Augustana College. She worked for many years at Borg Warner in Ottawa as an administrative assistant and later served as the Marketing Assistant to the Senior VP at BP Products North America in Warrenville, Illinois for 10 years. She was a devoted member of St. Columba Catholic Church.

Pat loved spending time with her daughters and cherished every opportunity to be there for her grandchildren, especially attending their sporting events, 4H events, competitions & dance recitals. She enjoyed shopping, planting flowers, traveling, day trips to attend musicals in Chicago, and making memories with the people she loved. She especially loved the annual vacations she would take with her sister, Jill. Her presence was larger than life, and her love for family was unwavering.

Pat was a beautiful, vibrant, and full-of-life woman who brought energy and love wherever she went. She was smart, always put together, and incredibly hardworking. Above all, Pat was an amazing mother. Her five daughters were her greatest pride and joy, and the example she set shaped their lives and will remain with them always. She leaves behind a family who will miss her deeply and carry her memory in their hearts forever.

Pat is survived by her five daughters: Tricia (Butch) Melvin of Ottawa, Angie Kaufmann of Ottawa, Stefanie (Donny) Phillis of Ottawa, Gina Kaufmann (Pete Stegman) of Seneca, Illinois, and Mackenzie (Kellen) Kubasak of San Antonio, Texas; and her twelve beloved grandchildren: Tayah, Teegan, Nathan, Nick, Braiden, Tres, Gunnar, Knox, Armour, Kolt, Lorelei, & Kylie.

She is also survived by her father, Roger Danielson of Ottawa, and siblings: Rob (Gloria) Danielson of Bloomington, Illinois, Dan (Terri) Danielson of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Jill (Dave) Steep, of St. Charles, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Danielson.
