Patricia Dougherty

Patricia J. Dougherty, 80, of Ottawa passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Memorial Services will be held at 11 am, Friday, August 3 at Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am, prior to services, at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Patricia was born June 21, 1938 in Ottawa to Roy and Elda (Grossman) Kelley. She married Nicholas M. Dougherty on May 14, 1960 in St. Patrick's Church; he passed away February 9, 2016. Patricia had a special love for Golden Retrievers; she had a passion for field training her dogs. She enjoyed her card club with her girlfriends, Darlene Johnson, Judy Coffey, Frannie Graffis, Barb Pool, and Deanna Crowley. Patricia especially loved her grandkids and great-grandkids. She is survived by four children, Kathleen Johnson, Steven J. Dougherty, Christopher J. Dougherty, and Jennifer M. (Tony) Morello; eight grandkids, Andrew, Leo (Nikki), Kelly, and Brett Johnson, Bryan and Lucas Dougherty, and Allison and Joseph Morello; three great-grandkids, Miles, Lucy, and Rosie Johnson; her brother, Fred "Sonny" (Debbie) Kelley; and her golden retriever, Betty. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Pet Project.
