Patricia A. (Dalton) Neuendorf

Patricia A. Neuendorf, 74, of Seneca passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at Amita St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, April 8 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca, with Rev. Sung officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 am, prior to services, at the funeral home. She will be buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Pat was born February 11, 1947 in Peoria to Jack and Frances (Gibbons) Dalton. She married Ronald Neuendorf on June 20, 1969. They were married for 31 years before his passing on May 14, 2001.

Pat worked at Sheridan Correctional Facility from 1976 until her retirement in 2001. She started at the facility as a nurse, and worked her way up the ladder. Her take-charge personality made her the perfect Director of Nurses. She was a spunky, generous, and loving woman who enjoyed reading and crocheting. She took care of everything and would drop anything to help you. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Seneca, where she made many "Sorority Sister" friends. She is survived by two children, Jason (Brenda) Neuendorf and Katharine (Thomas) Whitson, both of Iowa; three grandchildren, Rylee, Ryan, and Robert; her brother, Michael (Sue) Dalton of Peoria; and her favorite grandpups, Oscar, Emma, and Evilyn. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Diane Leighner, for being a great friend and always being there for Pat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter in infancy, Sara Lynn.
