Patricia Ann Bacon

Patricia "Pat" Ann Bacon, 73, of Ottawa, IL, died, Monday, July 18, 2011 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Friday, with the Rev. David Kipfer, officiating. Burial will be at the Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Prayers at 4:00 PM. Patricia Bacon was born January 12, 1938, in Ottawa, to Michael and Ella (Belletini) Ursini. She married Richard Bacon on June 14, 1958 at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa. She worked at Grand Ridge Grade School as the secretary for 24 years before retiring in 2000. She was a member of St. Columba Church. She was President of the Altar and Rosary Society for their centennial celebration for St. Mary's in Grand Ridge. She is survived by 2 daughters, Sue (Jack) Bacon-Goldberg of West Orange, NJ; Laurie (Dave) Walter of Grand Ridge; 2 sons, Michael L. Bacon of Charlotte, NC; and Richard David (Karla) Bacon of Grand Ridge; and 9 grandchildren, her sister Mary Jo Turrisi of Fl. She was preceded in death by her parents.Ron Turrisi She enjoyed reading, traveling to Las Vegas, spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting and school events. Pallbearers will be David and Luke Walter, Andrew and Carter Bacon, Ron Turrisi, Ryan Krol and Joe Hughes. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude, Ottawa Food Pantry, St. Columba Church and the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
