Patricia Anderson

Patricia M. Anderson, 89, of Morris, passed away peacefully Friday, May 13, 2016, with family by her side, at Park Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Friday, May 20, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Church in Seneca. Her visitation will be one hour prior to services on Friday from 9:00 – 10:00 am. After services cremation rites will be accorded and she will be buried at Mount Carmel Cemetery at a later date. Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home has been entrusted with her services.

Pat was born June 1, 1926, in Morris, to Robert J. and Alice (O'Connell) Calhan. She married Ralph W. Anderson on September 27, 1947 at St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Robert J. Calhan, Jr. of Ottawa, IL.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, Mike (Maggie) of The Villages, FL, Jack (Karen) of Centennial, CO, Greg (Debbie) of Seneca, and Larry (Kathy) of rural Marseilles; nine grandchildren, Matt (Nancy), Marcus, Chad (Leanne), Ryan (Amanda), Monica, and Sarah Anderson, Miranda (Jason) Brockman, Kristin (RJ) Payne, and Elizabeth (Bob) Bennhoff; and eleven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Matt, Marcus, Chad, and Ryan Anderson, Jason Brockman, and RJ Payne.

Pat was a 1943 Seneca Township High School graduate. She raised her boys on the family farm in Erienna Township. She worked at E.I. DuPont as a lab technician for several years. Returning to school, she completed her nursing training in 1974 and worked surgery/recovery at the Morris Hospital until her retirement. She was a breast cancer survivor, loved to read, travel and was an avid swimmer. She enjoyed painting and was a member of the Illinois Prairie Painters. Family was always important and she would host extended family reunions at the farm. She was a life-long member of St. Patrick’s Church, Seneca.
