Patrick “Pat” E. McGeorge, 74, of Seneca passed away Friday, July 8, 2016.
A memorial service will be 3:00 Wednesday, July 13, 2016 with Rev. Choi Kihwan officiating Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. His visitation will be 1:00 - 3:00 Wednesday, 2 hours prior to services, at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home.
Pat was born April 10, 1942 in Louisiana, Missouri to Gene and Mary Jane (Ehret) McGeorge. He married Adella Fessler on March 23, 1963 at Holiness Methodist Church in Seneca. He worked for Caterpillar in Aurora for 30 years and retired at the age of 48. In the past he mowed the grass for the Village of Seneca and also served as Commissioner. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and previously was a trustee for the church. Pat enjoyed being outdoors especially gardening, fishing, hunting, and trapping. Pat will always be remembered as a family man. He could never spend enough time with his grandchildren and taking them on their numerous trips. He had a passion for photography that included taking pictures of his family and of nature. He was a very devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother who will be missed by everyone.
He is survived by his loving wife, Adella; four children, Scott (Laurie) McGeorge, Steven McGeorge, Jodi (Jim) Anderson, Patrick “Shane” (Shannon) McGeorge; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; siblings, George (Rox) McGeorge, Ernest (Sandy) McGeorge, Hazel (Steve) Shanks, Eula (Rick) Mitchell, and Mary Lou Fielding.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ginger McGeorge; brother-in-law, Charles Fielding.
