Odis Allen

Odis R. Allen, 81, of Ottawa passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral service for Odis will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor Gavin Raath officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Ottawa Funeral Home. He will be buried at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery with Military Services. Odis was born November 16, 1932 in Claremore, Oklahoma to Oscar and Ella (Haddock) Allen. He married Jacqueline Seaborn on March 9, 1953 in Newton Iowa. He served in the United States Army. He worked for Teamsters Local 722 as a truck driver. He was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene, The American Legion, Local 722 Teamsters, and AARP. Odis is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline; his four children, Jon (Sue) Allen of Marseilles, Charles (Karen) Allen, Curtis (Deborah) Allen of Ottawa, and Larry Allen of Ottawa; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; six sisters, Ethel (Raymond) Krier, Bobbi (Joe) Whitson, Eleanor (Ken) Burton, Lorene (J.D.) Reese, Beatrice (Jr.) Enlow, Pat (Truman) Bingham; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Doris (Charles) Weygand and Anita Allen; and one brother, Richard Allen. Pallbearers will be Nick, Justin, Sam, Mitchell, Jon, Curtis, and Charles Allen, and Al Weygand. Memorials may be directed to the family.
