Norma Lee Walsh, 75, of Ottawa passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her son's home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, January 4, 2018 at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Deacon Ron Wackerlin doing prayers at 3:45. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Norma was born October 14, 1942 in Mendota, Illinois to Robert and Ruth (Ferguson) Fieldman. She married Edward Walsh on November 27, 1965 in Somonauk, Illinois. She worked for St. Francis of Assisi church for many years as a secretary. She was a member of St. Columba Church, Catholic Daughters of the America's and the Ottawa Moose. Norma had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She will sorely be missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her children, Matthew (Kathy) Walsh, Deanna Walsh, Mark "Curly" (Melissa) Walsh, Timothy (Brenda) Walsh; four grandchildren, Conor Walsh, Delaney Walsh, Josie Walsh, and Colin Walsh; and her sister, Shirley (Bob) Pirko. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed, he passed away November 18, 2017; and her grandson, Kaleb Beck. Pallbearers will be Wayne Fieldman, Conor Walsh, Dean Hansen, Steve Walsh, Marty Walsh, and Scott Walsh. Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces, Stephanie and Karoline Pirko.
