Norma Lencioni, 94, of Batavia passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Holmstad in Batavia, IL.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1 at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa with Rev. Augustin Kassa officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:00, prior to the services, Thursday at the church. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Ottawa.
Norma was born in Ottawa, IL on July 26, 1922 to Dario and Elvira (Bianchi) Lencioni. She attended Ottawa High School and received her degree in interior design from Harrington Decorating School in Chicago.
Norma worked as interior decorator at Marshall Field and Company on State Street in Chicago for over 40 years.
After living many years on the near north side in Chicago, Norma became a Batavia resident in 1974 and attended Holy Cross Catholic church in Batavia. In her spare time, Norma loved to travel the world with her sisters, especially to Tuscany, Italy, the birthplace of her parents.
She is survived by her sisters, Gilda and Peg, and six nephews and nieces and their 13 children. She was preceded in death by her sister Almida and her brother Dario.
She was a generous donor to many charities.
