Natalie Ekdahl

Natalie Ekdahl, 80, of Ottawa passed away Monday, July 29, 2019 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

A Celebration of Natalie's Life will be from 2 to 6 pm, Sunday, August 4 at the Wallace Fire Deptartment on Route 6. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites.

Natalie was born March 2, 1939, in Ottawa to Everett and Marjorie (Walker) DeMoss. She worked at many local restaurants before retiring from the Hi-Way. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Brenda) Blaine of NC, Brenda (Michael) Backos of Naplate, Cheli (Brian) Rehor of Utica, and Toni (Chris) Ingram of NC; seven grandchildren, Chris (Lexie) and Joshua Backos, Brandi, Sam, and Roberta Rehor, Nicole Spears, and Emily Ingram; four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Maryanne Ratcliff, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, LeRoy "Butch" DeMoss.
