Nancy A. Vignali

Nancy Ann Vignali, 66, of Ottawa passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at her home.

Nancy was born October 29, 1952, in Evanston, IL, to John and Joan (O'Neill) Wendt. Her family relocated to Ottawa where she graduated from Ottawa Township High School. Nancy was married to Joe Vignali Jr. and they had two children. She stayed home to raise them, was an active member of PTA, and volunteered for Hospice. Later in her life, she worked at Easter Seals Center in Ottawa and the gift shop at the Hospital. Her caring and generous spirit was shared with her family, friends and neighbors. In recent years, she developed a love for watching sports, but, Nancy’s greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Rob Vignali; her daughter, Christy (Ryan) Woodey; three grandchildren, Zoë, Abigail, and Elise Woodey; four brothers, John (Abbie) Wendt, Tom (Amanda) Wendt, Bill (Pam Smith) Wendt, and Dewey (Missy) Wendt; her sister, MaryJo (Tom) Ahearn; and significant other, Wayne Fieldman.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private memorial services were held. She will be laid to rest at Oakwood Memorial Park.
