Nancy Hill

Nancy Marie (Yates) Hill, of Utica, passed away at the age of 86 on December 26, 2025. She will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held for Nancy on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at Ottawa Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00 am with a service at 11:00. Nancy will be laid to rest at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery.

Nancy was born January 30, 1939 to Ernest Yates and Dorothy (Davis) Yates in Ottawa, Illinois. Nancy worked for Illinois Valley Mining Company and Owens Illinois Glass. She went on to marry Bert Francis Hill on October 31, 1959; he preceded her in death on August 4, 2008.

Nancy was a great person who was always willing to put others above herself. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cared about her family more than anything, and she showed that through her actions.

Nancy is survived by her great-grandchildren, Dominic Luis, Blaze Michael, and Cade Joseph, as well as her brothers-in-law, Ryan Hill and Aaron Hill. She is preceded in death by her spouse, parents, brother, Ernest Yates, and son, Troy Hill.

Pallbearers will be Bob Dubach, Dominic (Nicky) Farmer, Ryan and Aaron Hill, and Kayson Robert.
