Molly Moreno

Molly R. Moreno, 77, of Ottawa, IL passed away Wednesday January 20, 2010 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday January 23, 2010 at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 PM, Friday January 22, at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4:00. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Molly was born April 20, 1932 in Ottawa, IL to John and Rose (Campos) Alvarado. She married Jesus "Jess" Moreno April 19, 1952 at St. Columba Church in Ottawa. He died September 3, 2001. Molly was a Legal Secretary for many years. She was also a member of St. Columba Church, Legal Secretaries of America, Ottawa EPW Club, and was the Democratic Precinct Chair Woman. Molly is survived by her Mother, Rose; two daughters, Karen Yanarella and Jody (Dave Zyx) Wright, both of Ottawa; two sons, Greg and Mark (Dana) Moreno both of Ottawa; eight grandchildren, Steve, Angela, Rachel, and Natalie Moreno, John and Jenny Wright, and Jesse and Haley Yanarella; four great grandchildren, Kaylor Speirer, Juliana Moreno, and Jax and Jace Addis; two sisters, Sally (Larry) Pruitt and Tina Alvarado; two brothers, Ruben and Rudy Alvarado. She is preceded in death by her father, John; husband, Jess; a son, Steve; and two brothers John and Richie. Pallbearers will be John and Allen Wright, Jesse Yanarella, Steve Moreno, and Ruben and Rudy Alvarado. Memorials may be directed to St. Columba Church or to the family.
