Mitzi Davis

Mitzi L. Davis, 56, of Ottawa, died Thursday, September 27 at her home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Chaplain Kerwin Sletto officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 pm Sunday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis was born July 8, 1951, in Ottawa to Harry and Kathryn (Brown) Ostby. She married John R. "Red" Davis on July 30, 1989 in Ottawa. He died October 1, 1995. She was employed as a cashier at Wal-Mart and was former owner-manager of Red's Tap in Naplate for 20 years. She was a member of the Ottawa Area Women's Dart League. She is survived by one daughter, Toni (Jim) Reeland of Utica; two sons, William (Natasha) Cupples of Oglesby and Jason Cupples of Peru; five grandchildren, Timothy James, Michael and Nikki Reeland, Kasandra and Kayla Cupples; one sister, Terri (David) Crain of Ottawa; one brother, Dan (Marilyn) Ostby of Ottawa, and long-time friend, Vicki Ganiere. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one daughter Trisha Cupples. Pallbearers will be Danny Ostby, Timothy Reeland, Walt Davis, Rick Mason, Joe Willet and Dave Davis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Vic Fuller, Mark Johnson and Red Hall. Memorials may be directed to the family.
