Michele Eisert

Michelle Eisert, 77, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026 at her home in Marseilles.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, from 9:00am until 10:00am at Ottawa Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10:30am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Michelle was born Sep 19, 1948 daughter of the Michael J Basky and Betty Jane Giudici in Ottawa, IL. She attended St Francis grade school, Marquette high school and received her teaching degree in 1970 from Illinois State University. She married Ronald Edwin Eisert - her one and only true love on Aug 30 1969, and had her only daughter Ann Renee in 1971. She Worked at Grand Ridge Grade School as a second grade teacher for just 6 months when she had a traumatic car accident. Despite her injuries she was able to teach 2nd grade CCD at St Francis Church and substitute teach in elementary classes in Ottawa. She taught many children over the years with the kindness of a Saint and the faith of a warrior.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; her daughter, Ann Fisher; and her granddaughter, Bella Fisher, both of Ottawa.
