Michael "Rocko" Rausch

Michael "Rocko" A. Rausch, 54, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at his home. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, November 27 at Dayton Ridge Golf Course. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery at a later date. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation rites. Rocko was born March 24, 1962 in Ottawa, to Charles and Christina (Guerrero) Rausch. He married Jamie Stricklin on May 21, 1983. Rocko graduated from Ottawa High School in 1980 and worked at Illinois Valley Community College as a custodian for 10 years. He loved riding Harley Davidson motorcycles and cooking out at Buffalo Rock State Park. He enjoyed classic cars, and still owned his 1963 Chevy Impala SS he got when he was 16 years old. Rocko loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his father, Charles; his wife, Jamie Rausch; three children, Tiffany (Steven Vezain) Rausch of Ottawa, Michael J. Rausch of Ottawa, and Daniel C. Rausch of Fort Meyers, FL; and five grandchildren, Dylan and Autymn Vezain, Kaylee Monroe, Michael and Makenzee Rausch. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his mother, Christina; and one brother, Charles A. Rausch Jr. Memorials may be directed to the family.
