Michael E. Neumann

Michael E. Neumann, 51, of Ottawa passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor John Paul Robins officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Military Services. Private family burial will be at a later date at St. Columba Cemetery. Mike was born May 26, 1963 in Champaign, Illinois to Earl and Barbara Sue (Trexler) Neumann. He married Patti Eichelkraut on December 14, 1984 in Ottawa, Illinois, Patti passed away November 30, 2014. Mike served in the United States Navy on a submarine as a Nuclear Engineer from 1983 to 1988. He then worked as a Computer Programmer. He is survived by his son, Jacob (Stephannie) Neumann of Ottawa; his mother, Barbara Sue Neumann of St. Louis, MO.; one foster grand-daughter; one brother, Robert (Ellie) Neumann of GA.; three sisters, Alice Neumann of Ottawa, Cindie (John) Lewis of Ottawa, and Maxine Lambert of St. Louis. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patti, and his father, Earl. Memorials may be directed to the family.
