Michael W. Jessen

Michael Jessen, 37, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 at his home.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 pm Friday, September 30, at the Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Caster officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12:00 am prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery .

Michael was born January 31, 1985, in Ottawa, IL, to Michael and Laurie (Dettore) Jessen .

He worked as a laborer for Local 393. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and searching for mushrooms.

He is survived by his parents, Michael and Laurie Jessen; his sister, Nichole Jessen; his brother, Craig Jessen;  his fiancé, Sarah Tipton; and his children, Michael Riley, Evelyn Susan, and Eleanor Rose Jessen and Braylen Ruiz.

Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Michael and Mary Jessen and his maternal grandparents, William and Liliana Dettore, and his beloved dog, Bella.

Pallbearers will be Craig Jessen, Nevaeh Wheeler, Bobby Zellers, Jarod Jackson, Joey Jackson, and Justin Market.
