Michael R. Gordon

Michael R. Gordon, 33, of Marseilles passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center surrounded by family. Funeral Services will be at 7pm, Friday, October 26 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm, prior to services, at the funeral home. Mike was born December 14, 1984 in Streator to Donald "Pat" and Lani (Garifo) Gordon. He married Sarah Hylin on September 2, 2006 at Prairie Lakes. Mike worked as a supervisor for DirecTV for more than ten years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, golfing, and snowmobiling. He was a fan of the Chicago Bears. Mike was a fun and outgoing social butterfly; he loved BBQ's with his family and was a caring, loving father and husband. He is survived by his father, Pat; his wife of 12 years, Sarah; his two sons, Aiden and Dominick; one brother, Patrick (Cheryl Carlson) Gordon; two sisters-in-law, Amber (Mat) Underwood and Lindsay Deckard; his brother-in-law, Michael (Michelle Boker) Hylin; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and his dog, Duke. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Lani; and his grandparents. Memorials may be directed to the family.
