Melvin Vezain

Melvin Vezain, 89, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, May 16, 2014 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Weakly officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery. Melvin was born May 25, 1924 in Ottawa, Illinois to Edward and Gaybrielle (LaGare) Vezain. He married Lorraine Westerwelle on June 30, 1980 in Ottawa, Illinois. Melvin was a truck driver. He drove a truck for 35 years. He is survived by his wife, a son, Gary Vezain, of Ottawa, two grandchildren, Jeffrey Vezain of Los Angeles, CA and Krista Vezain of New York City.
