Melissa Juergensen

Melissa Juergensen, 19, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Melissa was born February 24, 1989, in Ottawa, to Karl and Ruth Juergensen. She was a student at IVCC studying forensics. Melissa was getting ready to start a job in Charlotte County, FL with the Animal Welfare League. She is survived by her father, Karl (Tami Tarochione) Juergensen of Marseilles; her mother, Ruth (Jesse Rodriguez) Juergensen of Stickney; two sisters Reannon Juergensen of Port Charlotte, FL and Sarah (Christopher) Brewer of Marseilles; grandparents Jack and Ruth Daw of Marseilles; two aunts Jennie (Jim) Lamb of Ottawa and Kathy (Rick) Vesper of Marseilles; three uncles, Jack (Barb) Daw of Marseilles, David Daw of Mendota and Michael (Patti) Daw of Lockport; cousins John Juergensen of Marseilles, Mike and John Lamb; one niece, Irene Brewer and one nephew, Jacob Brewer both of Marseilles. She was preceded in death by her grandparents John and Irene Juergensen. Pallbearers will be Ruth and Reannon Juergensen, Mike Lamb, Brian Thrush, Christopher & Sarah Brewer and Rick Vesper. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael, Dave and Jack Daw.
