Melanie Ruger, 54, of Marseilles, Illinois passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Hospital. Cremation rites were entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date . Melanie was born June 5, 1960 in York, Pennsylvania to Lawrence and Nancy (Mundis) Cooper. She married Lorran Ruger on July 3, 2006 in Ottawa. He passed away April 2, 2014. Melanie was a School Bus Driver. She enjoyed reading romance and mysterious books. She is survived by 3 sons; John Gurniak, Mark Cozzi, Kevin Cozzi, her mother; Nancy Cooper, a sister; Bonnie, many step grandkids, and many other family members. She is preceded in death by her father and her husband. Memorials may be directed to the family.
