Maureen Cherry

Maureen Cherry, 72, of Aurora, formerly of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Sunday February 25, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet.

Funeral Service for Maureen will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday March 3, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. David Daniel officiating. Visitation will be from noon to the time of services at the Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory. She will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

Maureen was born August 4, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Thomas and Agnes (McGlyn) Braddish. She married Ashley Cherry on September 24, 1994, in Oswego; he passed away October 31, 2016. She worked as a waitress and bartender at 2 Rivers and also the Illini Lounge. She was a member of the American Legion and Zion Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her four sons; David Raspiller, Rick Raspiller, Eric Cherry, and Grant (Jo) Cherry; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mary Pat Treece of Oswego.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and five brothers.
