Maureen Ceci

Maureen Ceci, 87, of Seneca, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at her home with her family by her side.

Visitation will be Friday, October 8, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Osborne Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Ottawa Jewish Cemetery.

Maureen was born August 2, 1934, in Chicago, IL, to Morris and Rose (Greenberg) Sandler.

Maureen worked for many years as a machine operator prior to her retirement. She was an avid Chicago sports fan and loved doing crafts; but above all, she loved her family.

She is survived by her children, Philip (Sherri) Ceci, Rose (Del) Lassiter, and Kelli (Michael) Sterling; her grandchildren, Carolyn (Brent) Leeth, Philip (Alexa) Ceci Jr., Dominick Escobedo, David (Lynne) Escobedo, Daniel (Lakeisha) Escobedo, Caitlin Lassiter, Zane Lassiter, Heather (Robert) Martinez, Jacquelin (Michael) Denon, Justin (Colleen) Sterling, and Silver Sterling; twenty eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and her sister, Aronette "Babe" Mishoulam.

Maureen was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Dawn Ceci; and her siblings, Bob and Howard Sandler and Georgia Levine.
