Matthew Kennedy

Matthew William Kennedy, 26, of Marseilles died Tuesday, October 7, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 AM Saturday, October 11, 2008 at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, October 10 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Matthew was born September 2, 1982, in Ottawa, to David and Diane (Crone) Kennedy. He was a member of St. Columba Church and Ottawa Business Builders. Matthew is survived by his parents, David and Diane of Ottawa; one sister, Candice Kennedy of Ottawa; one brother, Brett Kennedy of Baker; grandmother, Lucille Kennedy of Ottawa; an aunt, Kathy (Gary) Tuftie of Ottawa; an uncle, Donald (Leslie) Crone of Glen Carbon; great-aunt, Theresa Nodland; nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Carrington, Jakob, Dylan, Madeline, Reese and Austin; and several cousins. Matthew was preceded in death by a grandfather, Wilbert T. Kennedy; grandparents, William and Marylou (Kendall) Crone; an aunt, Patricia Kennedy Tirevold and an uncle, Donald Nodland. Pallbearers will be Brett Kennedy, Pat McIntyre, Marco Leal, Chris Pagakis, Dave Gerkitz, Blair Fitzpatrick and Chris Halterman. Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Hall and Jason Dougherty.
