Mary Vernoy

Mary Vernoy, 74, of Streator passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, January 16, 2015 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Corey Kreingel officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday prior to services at Ottawa Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service. She will be buried at a later date in St. Columba Cemetery. Mary was born March 24, 1940 in Naplate, Illinois to Earl and Mary (Flemming) Vernoy. She loved to knit, crochet, play with her dogs, and loved to eat Wendy's chili with her sister. She is survived by three siblings, Earl (Bonnie) Vernoy, Melody (Donald) Salisbury, and Jean (Dale) Wheaton; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and four siblings, Ruben Shirley, Barbara Thomas, Carol Severson, and Thelma Vernoy. Memorials may be directed to her family.
