Mary Louise Peterson, 92, of Seneca, Illinois, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013, at her home. Funeral Service for Mary will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Seneca with Rev. Kris Zierke officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to services, at the Church. Burial will be in Fox River Cemetery in Norway. The Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Mary was born November 26, 1920, in Waltham Township, Illinois, to George and Mary Loretta (McCormick) Piercy. She married Truman P. Peterson on April 3, 1948, by Rev. Charles McClellan in Ottawa. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1996. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She worked as a cook at Seneca Grade School for many years. She is survived by one son, James (Rita Henderson) Peterson of Morris; one daughter, Janice (William) Harmeyer of Kokomo, IN; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Truman; six brothers, John, George, Clifford, James, Myles and Eugene Piercy; and five sisters, Helen Gilmour, Lydia Bapst, Catherine Nelson, Dorothy Schafer, and Loretta Hickman. Pallbearers will be Bruce Flatness, Richard Swenhaugen, Larry Bapst, Jody Pleskovich, Jon Tendall, and Gary Hauge.
