Mary Theresa Melgoza

Mary Theresa "TT" Melgoza, 78, of Ottawa passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday prior to services at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be 11:00 Thursday, November 19, 2015 in St. Columba Cemetery. A celebration of life will also be at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ottawa 1:000 to 5:00 Thursday, November 19, 2015 Theresa was born March 5, 1937 in Ottawa, Illinois to Louis and Angela (Torres) Melgoza. She was a member of St. Columba Church. Many of Mary Theresa's friends knew her as TT. She loved to play bingo and definitely had a special place in her heart for animals. She always put the care of other people first as she cared for many kids and family members. She will be missed by everyone she touched. She is survived by two sisters, Vivian (Allan) Donovan and Anita Stevens; her nephew, Joe Husted; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; all of TT's special boys and girls; and her furry friend, Thor. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Anthony Melgoza; three nephews, Joe Engel, Ronnie Engel, and Zeek Simpkins; and her furry friend, 8-Ball. Honorary pallbearers will be TT's boys, Justin Engel, Gerrald Stevens Jr., Robert Engel, Anthony Melgoza Jr., Chris Guerrero, Steven Engel, Gary, McClain, Shawn Gage, Gary Gage Jr., Martin Beard Jr., Jason Shawback, Tim Emanuelson, Josh Watland, John Davis Jr., Benjamin Cunningham, Robert Thompson Jr., Robert Linn, James Torres III, Jordan Casey, and Trent DeMoss. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to her family.
