Mary Ann Hanley, 91, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013, at Rivershores Healthcare and Rehabilitation Centre. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at St. Patrick Church with Rev. Hope Klutsey officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park. Mary was born September 11, 1921, in Ottawa, Illinois, to Michael and Mary (Goeltl) Conrad. She married Peter Hanley on July 11, 1942, at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1991. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Anne Courter of Cape Girardeau, MO and Susan (Michael) Jones of Ottawa; four sons, Peter (Barb) Hanley of Ottawa, Bill (Francie) Hanley of Charlotte, NC, Frank (Sue) Hanley of Terre Haute, IN, and Robert (Janet) Hanley of Goleta, CA; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Jerry "Justin" Hanley; two grandchildren, Barbara and Michael Hanley; her brother, Frank Conrad and also a brother, Michael, in infancy; and two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Grigg and Eva Pyszka. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to the family.
